'The Phantom of the Opera' to close on Broadway next year

The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest-running show,  

is set to end in February 2023, making it the biggest victim 

of New York's post-pandemic theater-going slump.

The musical, which has been on Broadway since 1988 despite wars 

and cultural shifts, will make its final Broadway run on Feb 18.

He will be closing less than a month after his 35th anniversary.
